Safe Start 2025

Imagine the scene: your team have enjoyed the festive season, taking a well-deserved break to celebrate with their nearest and dearest. Suddenly, it’s time to switch the machines back on and get to work.

One of the most critical safety tasks any organisation can invest time in is setting their team to work in a way where safety is reinforced as their highest priority. Following their Christmas shutdown, Ibstock welcomed their workforce back and top of the to do list was to reinforce their key safety message and remind everyone; irrespective of hierarchy, role and department of the importance of prioritising safety in every choice they make.

Working closely with the Ibstock Safety Team, we created a “Safe Start” session which was delivered in-house. The resource consisted of a guided half—day session including:

  • Bespoke film content, in the form of a three-part drama, a series of virtual Safety Walks, and an “Welcome Back” interview with their CEO.
  • Presentations with content from their own team.
  • Interactive exercises, including an actual Safety walk in their own workplace.
  • A challenge to the group, asking them “What will you do differently in 2025”?

Our long-term client – Ibstock have an enviable safety record, which reflects the commitment and efforts of the Leadership and Safety team. So, it was no surprise that they were prepared to put in the effort, time and resources required to get 2025 off to a “Safe Start”. As always we love a good challenge and really enjoyed working with such passionate and supportive clients.

“The content was simple and easily related to, with the films produced. The tone was right and message came across well without being too hard hitting for day one. The theme itself was perfect; the circle of control etc was well understood by all and relatable in offices too”.
