Health Matters

Here’s a stark fact: 
You are more than 100 times more likely to die from a work -related health issue than a safety issue!

Most of the projects we deliver have a strong focus on the Safety side of Health & Safety, rather than Health; so Andy Thomas and the team were delighted to be back at the MK Dons stadium last week, delivering a series of training sessions for our wonderful client – East West Rail.

Using a series of carefully crafted theatrical scenes he was able to tell a story that takes over 20 years to unfold and this gave us the opportunity to discuss long term health issues and show the impact they have on individuals and their family.

We challenged the delegates – a groups of supervisors from across the Alliance to think more deeply about how we recognise and then manage a variety of health risks; and how they can create and lead an open and honest team culture where it’s OK to speak up. The team didn’t hold back and energetically joined in with a highly interactive session sharing their personal experiences and participating in some insightful discussions.
