Showcase Event

On Tuesday 13th November 2012 we delivered  a Behavioural Health & Safety showcase event at the renowned Churchill War Rooms in London.

After delivering training to some of the UK’s best-known companies, including: GKN Aerospace, Lafarge, TYCO, EnterpriseMouchel, The Premier League, Scottish & Southern Energy, Cemex, BMW, Toyota and Nampak Plastics; we have created a unique training portfolio, covering topics including:

  • Leading a safety focused culture
  • Safe driving
  • Risk awareness
  • Owning safety
  • Communicating safety
  • Delivering effective toolbox talks & team briefs

The free event provided a unique opportunity for safety specialists from across the UK to meet colleagues and participate in a half-day workshop designed to help take a fresh look at behavioral health and safety.

Objectives for the showcase included:

  • To encourage participants to actively and visibly lead the desired culture within their business when they return to work
  • To help participants to examine their organisation’s health and safety culture and identify areas for improvement using our 4-Square model which explores safe behaviours, leadership, policies and processes and training and equipment
  • To highlight the wide-ranging consequences when things go wrong as a result of working unsafely
  • To consider the desired health and safety mind-set that will help an organisation achieve its goals
  • To showcase that an interactive and engaging approach to Behavioural Health and Safety, through the use of actors, theatre and film, will have a greater impact on your audience and increase the likelihood of achieving cultural objectives
4-Square Health & Safety model

In a highly stimulating and interactive event; our award-winning facilitator Matt Cleve  used our unique 4-Square Health & Safety model to help the delegate’s assess, and better understand their own safety culture and identify the challenges they face in creating a world-class safety environment.

Over 60 organisations attended the showcase, including: Arsenal FC, BAE Systems, BBC, British Gas, Burberry, Chemring Countermeasures, Coca-Cola, DB Schenker, DHL, Eurostar, Ferrero, Gatwick Airport, HSL, J Murphy & Sons, Kelloggs, Kier Group, Laing O’Rouke,  McLaren, Norbert-Dentressangle, Skanska, Sodexo, Tetra Pak, Virgin Trains, Wates Group and Willmott Dixon.

After a characteristically interactive and often surprising session, the feedback confirmed that the event had been engaging, challenging and, most importantly, useful. This was emphasized by many of the attendees stating that the session had provided valuable insights that they would take back to their businesses.

Following the success of the events we have launched a LinkedIn networking group:  Attitude Matters - Behavioural Health & Safety Group, it gives members a great opportunity to share ideas, discuss their challenges and network both virtually and face to face.
